This is the small version of our Ukonvasara, Hammer of Ukko, pendant. One of the few things we make that are Finnish in origin. There is more about hte symbol later on in the description.
This pendant, like all our ironwork, has been hand forged out of pure iron, not to be confused with steel or mild steel. The pendant is completely double sided. It has been suspended onto and adjustable length leather necklace.
This pendant can be personalised with a small engraving or silver inlay.

The Story
The "Ukonvasara" is known widely as the Finnish Thor's Hammer. Ukko "Old man" was the name commonly used for the sky god, who governed over the weather, thunder, the crops & fertility and judgement. He was known as the "high god". Wether this is because of his physical placement in the sky or being the chief god of the Finnish Pantheon, is unclear. His help was asked when heavenly intervention or a sign was needed, on the battle field, in a trial by combat, hunting, giving birth or growing the crops.
